Care Instructions

Maintaining your Banning Board is an easy task.  Proper care and maintenance are key to extending the life of your cutting board.  Wash your cutting board using soap and warm water and scrub well.  Water and scrubbing are more important than soap in flushing bacteria or other food particles off the board.  After washing, dry immediately with a towel and set on its side or on a drying rack to promote air flow and prevent warping.  Please do not put the hardwood cutting board in the dishwasher, dunk or submerge in water, or use bleach.  Wood will absorb water potentially warping the board.  If your cutting board has stains or smells, you can use lemon juice or white vinegar directly on the area.  The acid in these liquids can neutralize the organic material or fats causing the problem.
